How much could the IRS get if they taxed lobbyist money? Aren't you mad they take bribes?

Yes. I am. They spend so much money to block policies that will help the average Joe 2. ¥|||Political contributions ARE taxed, by virtue of the fact that the donor must use pre-taxed funds and cannot claim a charitable deduction. Of course there would be less conflict of interest if there were no lobbyists or private campaign funding greasing the politicians, but what is the alternative? Do you want your tax dollars to be used for political campaigns?|||IRS -- or any other government official -- taking bribes is, indeed, quite maddening.|||Yes I am mad that congressmen take these bribes.
