How do i tell friends i live with that they i need their rent money without them getting mad?

I met guys in florida last year, they where from england... they have come to stay with me and my boyfriend for a year... well jan-may then aug-dec. Well we kind of talked about them giveing about $150 each and they said that was fine.. when they got here they kept asking "so what should we do about rent?" they had talked about paying for gerocerys or paying for rent and i said no thanks to the georecerys as i dont do a big shopping so i didn't think it would be fair and they said okay... so i assusmed that i would get money from them but nothing yet.. how do i bring theis up with out them feeling like ****|||you shouldn't feel bad, it's only fair that they pay. just stop them and say that you don't want to be a bother but there needs to be a conversation about the rent...|||You shouldn't feel bad at all! Tell them when it is what day it is due on every month and ask them to be on time, so your land lord won't get upset. They will understand just be kind don't be rude unless you have to.|||you just need to be up front and honest with them. tell them you need the money period. you can be nice about it. i dont think you took them to raise, did you? if they get upset they need to get out!|||remind them about the conversation that you originally had. tell them you could really use thier rent money to help make ends meet, and for them to not take it personally but you are having a hard time coming up with the money.|||Just ask them for it. They owe you, so you shouldn't have to ask. IF they get an attitude about it they don't need to living with you.
